Women’s Therapy for Perimenopause, Menopause & Midlife Emotional Overwhelm

I am a bilingual mental health therapist. I work with strong, self-sacrificing women—often in perimenopause or menopause—who have spent their lives taking care of everyone else. In our sessions, you finally have a space where por fin puedes pensar en ti—where your changing needs are honored, and exploring them doesn’t feel selfish. Licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Texas. Services provided online.

Services I Offer

I provide therapy for adult women experiencing perimenopause or menopause, including concerns related to:

  • Mood changes

  • Emotional overwhelm

  • Identity shifts

  • Life transitions

I offer culturally responsive care in English and Spanish.

If you’re here because perimenopause or menopause is bringing physical and emotional changes that are hard to explain — and you’re tired of being the strong one — Women’s Therapy for Midlife & Menopause is the right place to start.

Who This Work Is a Good Fit For

This work is often a good fit if you:

  • Have spent most of your life being “the strong one” — the dependable daughter, partner, mother, or professional

  • Rarely ask for help and feel responsible for holding things together

  • Are in perimenopause or menopause and feeling emotionally overwhelmed or unlike yourself

  • Feel disconnected from who you used to be

  • Don’t think of yourself as “struggling,” but feel deeply tired and ready for something to change

I work best with adult women who are open to reflective, ongoing therapy and want space to understand what’s happening beneath the surface — not just push through it.

When This May Not Be the Right Fit

This work may not be the best fit if you:

  • Are seeking crisis-level or emergency mental health support

  • Need medical care, hormone management, or menopause treatment planning

  • Prefer highly structured, skills-only therapy

  • Are looking for couples, family, or child therapy

  • This practice focuses on reflective, ongoing therapy for adult women navigating midlife emotional shifts rather than crisis or medical care.

How I Work

My approach is reflective, depth-oriented, and emotionally grounded. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, we look at the underlying patterns that contribute to overwhelm, disconnection, or identity shifts during midlife.

In therapy, we may explore:

  • Long-standing patterns of self-sacrifice or over-responsibility

  • Internal pressure to be the strong one for others

  • Emotional and nervous system responses during perimenopause or menopause

  • The impact of caregiving roles and life transitions on your sense of self

I adapt my approach to the woman in front of me, but my work consistently centers on insight, emotional awareness, and sustainable shifts over time rather than quick fixes.

Why Clients (and Referrers) Often Choose Me

Clients and referring providers often choose me because:

  • I have been in clinical practice since 1998 and bring long-term experience to midlife work

  • I understand the emotional and identity shifts that can accompany perimenopause and menopause

  • My approach is reflective and depth-oriented rather than crisis-driven

  • I offer a steady, non-judgmental space for women who are used to being the strong one

Referrers often value that I work within clear scope boundaries and provide consistent, ongoing care for adult women navigating midlife transitions.
